Avionics Mechanic
Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented 145 MRO Avionics Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and modifications on various avionics systems in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role requires a strong understanding of avionics systems, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB

  • Maintain a clean and organized safe work area
  • Pick up assigned unit from supervisor daily
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test all units
  • Perform the required setup to test units
  • Keep accurate records through proper documentation of all measurements according to the CMM or relevant technical data.
  • Write evaluation reports for each unit
  • Have an understanding of all the different forms that are used in the shop i.e. 8130 tags, tear down report, etc)
  • Continuously think of ways to improve work processes
  • Always maintain open communication with internal customers.

Job Requirements:
  • General knowledge is equivalent to high school education.
  • A Technician must have at least 4 years’ experience in the aerospace industry preferably in the fields of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic component overhaul.
  • The individual must be familiar with CFR 145 and EASA 145.
  • Individuals must know how to read, comprehend, and understand engineering prints, specifications, overhaul or component maintenance manuals, and electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic schematics.
  • They must be knowledgeable about the use of mechanical and electronic measuring instruments and equipment such as calipers, height gages, depth indicators, micrometers, power supplies, multimeters, pressure gages, flow meters, etc.
  • The Technician needs to have some basic knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc).
