Now Hiring: UAV Flight Test ObserverIn this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the airspace to ensure that all flights are running smoothly. Your duties will include observing the sky to confirm that conditions are optimal, such as ensuring there are no adverse weather conditions, animals, or objects interfering with flights. You will provide feedback to operators and seek opportunities to continuously improve processes and safety protocols to make operations more efficient for centers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post flight responsibilities.
- Monitor the airspace to ensure flights run smoothly.
- Observe sky conditions to confirm standards are met, including weather, animals, and objects.
- Provide feedback to operators and team on flight conditions.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and safety protocols.
- Carefully observe and collect flight data
- Input flight data and monitor administrative tasks.
- Perform data entry tasks using Excel.
Essential Skills- Knowledge of aeronautics & avionics AND/OR Part 107 License
- Strong administrative support and clerical skills.
- Proficiency in data entry and inputting flight data.
- Ability to monitor data and input into Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail.
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Drone experience is a plus, though a Part 107 license is not required.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors as 90 of the time will be in an outdoor environment.
Work EnvironmentSchedule: 4pm-12pm
Candidates should be open to overtime, averaging around 50 hours a week, with some Saturdays required. The role will primarily be outdoors, and the contract is estimated to last 6-9 months with a possibility of extension.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
