Job Title: Drone OperatorJob Description
As a Drone Operator, you will conduct flights, analyze flight data, and create fix-it tickets for any preflight or inflight issues. You will recover unmanned aircraft to test and optimize operational systems, validate data, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes, safety protocols, hardware, and software. Your aim will be to make operations more efficient for centers worldwide and provide detailed feedback to the design team.
Responsibilities
- Perform flights and analyze flight data.
- Create fix-it tickets for any preflight or inflight issues.
- Recover unmanned aircraft to test and optimize operational systems.
- Validate data from flights.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, safety protocols, hardware, and software.
- Provide detailed feedback to the design team to enhance operations.
Essential Skills- Drone operation experience.
- Part 107 license.
- 1-3 years of experience flying drones.
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication.
- Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Knowledge of airspace safety and protocols.

Work Environment
You will work primarily outdoors, with 90 of your time spent in an outdoor environment. The role requires flexibility, with shifts starting as early as 7:30 am or as late as 2/3 pm. Be prepared for a fast-paced, collaborative culture where teamwork is essential. The role may include overtime, averaging around 50 hours a week, with some Saturdays required. The initial contract is estimated to last 6-9 months, with the possibility of extension up to a year.
