Key Responsibilities

• Perform all skilled of painting works not limited to maintenance works, minor renovations and construction in accordance to standard operation procedures, specification and standards best practice in order to accomplish high standards of quality works.
• Read and understanding drawings, checklist, work orders or otherwise seek explanation from Supervisor/Technical Officer so that works can be executed accordingly and obtaining desirable end results.
• Prepares, primes, sands, seals, pavement spanings, buildings, and fixtures utilizing
  all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proofing
  and heat resistant finishes.
• Prepare and clean surfaces using hand-held power tools and the appropriate methods include scraping, sanding, sand- blasting, hydro-blasting, make good of loose paint, repair cracks and holes in walls and joinery by applying fillers/ sealant.
• Mix and thin paint to obtain desired color and texture as necessary as per manufacturer recommendation to archive desired color required.
• Apply paint or other materials, such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fiberglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment, following manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Carry out all necessary administrative work associated with the other team’s requirements such as keeping accurate and timely records of all work from receiving jobs through to completion.
• Responsible to assist Technical Officer in identifying material to be order in advance and submit purchase requisition for processing requests to order materials promptly and accurately.
• Assist Store to check materials deliveries for accuracy in quantity and free from any defect.
• Monitor tools and electrical equipment in proper working conditions at all time and inform Technical Officer of any unsafe conditions in order to avoid unwanted incident.
• Coordinate interface and liaison with others technicians as necessary to ensure proper execution of assigned tasks.
• Always works in accordance to company Standard operation procedures, method statement, risk assessment and safety procedures ensuring meeting the deadline given to the highest quality workmanship.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualification

• High School qualification with minimum 1 year of job related experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent with no prior job related work experience
• Experienced in the preparation and delivery of quality paint finishes
• Knowledge of all paint types
• Command of English language
