Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Self-management of workload to ensure the needs of the business are met
- Application of Aerospace sealing compounds to manufacturers criteria
- Ability to mix paint compounds to manufacturers criteria
- Masking of components
- Awareness of waste disposal management
- Ability to use spraying equipment and general maintenance of such
- An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company’s environmental procedures
- Ability to work to productivity schedules and change priorities as required
- Monitoring of booth and oven capabilities and understanding what is required to achieve maximum efficiency from these
- You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book
- You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
Requirements
The ideal Paint Sprayer should meet the following requirements:
- Engineer apprenticeship preferably
- Educated at least at GCSE level
- Competent in the use of hand held spray equipment
- Previous paint spraying experience in Aircraft components
- Must have the ability to use polyurethane paints and epoxy primers
- Well organised
- Punctual
- Quality conscious
- Flexible
- The ability to work within a team environment
- Around 37.5 hours per week
- Able to work shifts (06:00 – 14:00 and 13:55 – 21:55)
- The position requires from time to time flexibility in working hours including working overtime at weekends
- The job requires the applicant to understand manual handling
- The ability to keep your working area clean and tidy
- Must possess a legal work permit in the UK
