Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs basic paint mixing and matching operations for interior/exterior aircraft paints.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Accurately log all labor data into computer system.
  • Complete assigned jobs within set time limits.
  • Complies with any area 5S requirements for hangars, mixing rooms, supply rooms, etc.
  • Maintains all equipment before, during, and after use, as required, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment as defined per process
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment, cleaning up after each operation and/or shift
  • Follow Dassault Falcon Jet paint mixing processes
  • Match various paints to various textiles and color standards from formulae and/or color matching software
  • Perform spray-outs to subjectively and objectively analyze, review, and/or confirm color matches
  • Obtain approvals of spray-outs for critical color match components
  • Records and catalogs color data for future reference
  • Manage inventory of mixing color paints to ensure adequate stock for mixing demand
  • Locate, reference, and utilize work orders and their reference data to ensure compliance with processes, document all traceability requirements, and accurately record all process data.
  • Learns DFJ Quality Standards

NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability and Competency To:
    • Read, Speak, Write, Understand, and Communicate Effectively in English
    • Follow Written and Verbal Instructions
    • Pass Pulmonary Function Test and Maintaining Respirator Clearance (which has Facial Hair Restrictions)
  • Ability and Commitment to:
    • Wear All PPE as Required
    • Prioritize Safety of Self, Others, and Aircraft
  • Ability to use and ability to learn to use paint mixing bank, scale, paint matching tools & software, etc.
  • Ability to work with and around various adhesives, paints, resins, and other preparatory paint materials

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous paint mixing/matching experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of color theory
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing and Quality Assurance principles

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work location for this position is in climate-controlled hangar, with occasional outside work. Involves exposure to chemicals and dust levels set by OSHA standards. Ability to lift/hold/carry/push/pull carry 25 pounds with/without reasonable accommodation for intermittent periods

Physical/muscular dexterity to:

  • Stand for extended periods with/without reasonable accommodation
  • Climb stairs in and out of aircraft with/without reasonable accommodation

Complies with OSHA and Company Safety Standards and procedures

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The compensation for this position typically falls between $18.00 and $21.00 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for shift differential. Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
