Aircraft Painter - Wichita, KS!Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter responsible for removing paint from aircraft surfaces, cleaning, masking, applying stripper, and removing the stripper. You will also apply aerodynamic filler and mask the aircraft using tapes and paper products to protect various components in preparation for the painting process. Additionally, you will mix primers and paints according to the manufacturers maintenance manual specifications.
Responsibilities
- Remove paint from aircraft surfaces by cleaning, masking, and applying/removing stripper.
- Apply aerodynamic filler to aircraft surfaces.
- Mask the aircraft using tapes and paper products to protect windows, seals, struts, and cables.
- Prepare aircraft for the painting process.
- Mix primers and paints as per manufacturers maintenance manual specifications.
Essential Skills- 3 years of full-body aircraft painting experience
- Proficiency in using spray guns and sanding tools
- Experience in prepping, striping, and masking aircraft
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid drivers license
- Experience with Cessna products (preferred but not required)
Pay & Shift:- $25-$35/hour
- 5am-1:30pm; Monday-Friday
- 4-month contract-to-hire
Work Environment
- This role involves working in an FBO environment on customer aircraft. The majority of the work will be conducted in the hangar, with occasional tasks on the flightline. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 5am to 1:30pm.
