This 4-month consultant opportunity is ideal for skilled professionals who take pride in delivering flawless finishes, protecting critical aircraft surfaces, and contributing to the safety and appearance of world-class aircraft.
In this role, your craftsmanship will directly support aircraft readiness, quality standards, and operational excellence. If you have strong technical painting experience and thrive in a fast-paced aerospace environment, this is your chance to make an immediate impact.
What You’ll DoAs an Aircraft Painter, you will perform a wide range of finishing, coating, and processing duties essential to aircraft production and maintenance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, work instructions, charts, and specifications to determine proper paint and processing methods
- Prepare aircraft parts, assemblies, and surfaces for painting and coating applications
- Set up and operate paint spray equipment for interior, exterior, primer, protective, and finish coats
- Mix, thin, and prepare paints and surfacing materials to exact specifications
- Apply smooth, wrinkle, baked, or specialty finishes while maintaining quality standards
- Perform rework, touch-ups, and corrections as required after inspections or testing
- Operate robotic spray coating equipment, adjusting spray flow, pressure, travel speed, and pattern as needed
- Apply specialty coatings including radar absorptive materials where required
- Operate ovens, furnaces, quenching tanks, and metal processing equipment as needed
- Record production data manually or through computer-based systems
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure tools/equipment remain properly certified
- Assist with training and supporting fellow team members when needed
What You BringRequired Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of Aircraft Painter experience
- Strong experience using spray paint systems, coating equipment, and surface preparation methods
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Comfortable standing for the full 8-hour shift
- Ability to work assigned shifts as needed
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business demands
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or hangar environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with robotic spray coating systems
- Background in aerospace manufacturing or aircraft maintenance environments
- Familiarity with specialty coatings or advanced finishing techniques
- Experience using digital production or manufacturing systems

Pay Details: $45.00 to $48.00 per hour
