Job Title: Aircraft PainterPay range for experienced (3+ years) aviation/aerospace painters: $30-35/hour DOEResponsibilities- Clean, sand, and apply chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting.
- Mix and thin paint or other coatings to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts.
- Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted.
- Spray specified amount of thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings onto prepared surfaces using spray equipment.
- Perform maintenance work such as repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housecleaning.
- Strip, mask, and apply insignias, symbols, designs, or other markings on aircraft according to blueprints or specifications, using stencils patterns, measuring instruments, brushes, or spray equipment.
- Regulate controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.
- Set up portable ventilators, exhaust units, ladders, and scaffolding prior to painting.
- Ensure that proper documentation is made on training records for training received, and signed by the Lead or Manager.
- Operate lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment and access areas to be painted.
- Perform duties of the Lead Painter in their absence.
Essential Skills- 1-5+ years of experience in painting, particularly aircraft painting.
- Experience with commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900, Boeing 777, and Airbus.
- Proficiency in painting, paint prep, paint gun operation, sanding, and masking.
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Basic set of tools required.

Work Environment
The role requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, and crouching. Occasionally, kneeling, balancing, lifting and carrying weight up to 50 pounds is required. Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are necessary. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range are also required. You will operate spray painting equipment, power tools, mixing equipment, measuring instruments, brushes, ladders, stands, lifts, ventilators, exhaust units, and scaffolding. You will work base wide with potential exposure to high-intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, and moving machinery. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, respirators, dust masks, safety harnesses, and protective clothing is required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
