JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Training Coordinator
Department: Training
Reports To: Manager of Aircrew Records
POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for scheduling crewmembers for all categories of required training. Provides additional staff assistance to the Aircrew Records Manager as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plans and implements the monthly training schedules
- Assist in assuring that all crewmembers are notified of their scheduled ground and flight training events.
- Coordinates with others, e.g., the Aircrew Records Manager, Chief Pilot, and/or Director of Flight Training and Standards, to plan and implement crewmember training schedules.
- Works with others in the Training Department on tasks as assigned, e.g., updating qualifications in electronic systems, processing training forms, conducting records audits.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be very detail-oriented and accurate.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous Aviation, Training, Scheduling, or other related experience preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Training Coordinator is required to live in the surrounding area of Ypsilanti, Michigan. This position will also require you to work afternoons and on weekends.
