Summary of job description
- Performance measurement and monitoring
o Develop, standardize, produce and automate production performance reports.
o Develops, standardizes, produces and automates dashboards showing performance in real time.
o Analyze and interpret performance variations and implement corrective actions.
o Improves and standardizes existing measurement, control and monitoring systems.
o Participates in establishing time estimates for new products or operations.
o Leads performance monitoring meetings.
o Participates in development programs.
o Applies the learning curve concept when required.
o Knows how to use different systems and their interfaces, and understands the interaction between them and the impact on production.
- Production support
o Supports production for various needs related to health & safety, environmental compliance, aerial safety, operations optimization and quality improvement.
o Evaluates the workforce in his/her sectors and is able to carry out the overall evaluation for the plant.
o Conducts capacity assessments.
o Coordinates improvement projects.
o Equipment sourcing, supplier meetings and purchasing to support projects.
o Participates in Kaizen
- Continuous Improvement
o Coordinates the implementation of improvements resulting from VA / NVA analysis.
o Carries out layout studies
o Initiates actions to improve flow and coordinates implementation.
o Coordinates ergonomics projects.
o Supports 5S initiatives.
- Time studies and methods
o Supports time studies by instantaneous observation or other methods.
o Balances operations and develops progress charts when required.
o Coordinates standard time changes and maintains revisions.
Minimum required qualifications
D.E.C. in industrial engineering technology or operations management
Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience in the industrial engineering field
SKILLS
- Good knowledge of statistics and good analytical skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Understands the interaction of different systems and their impact on production.
- Functional knowledge in French is required.
- Functional knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec..
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access is an asset
- Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
