Resource Management is a central function within an airline and has the overall responsibility for ensuring that all SAS flights are manned. Resource Management consists of about 40 individuals, and the department has five units. Three optimization units, one unit responsible for crew related data and one responsible for training planning. Each team consist of 5-10 employees and team leader. 

As a Training Planner you will take part in the planning of our airlines crew’s training, you will create and follow up on our training plans and keep a constant dialog with the training departments of our airlines. The work is performed in several of our systems, and especially in our Crew Management System from Jeppesen. Communication is key and you will be in dialog with internal and external stakeholders for you to be able to optimize the training through the whole planning chain.

You will, together with your great colleagues, work on our processes and procedures to be able to continuously improve the training planning, to keep flight safety our main priority as well as to make it even better from crew’s perspective and to improve efficiency by always keeping focus on cost. It is an important process where you will be able to use your experience, creativity and skills and quickly see the result.

•    Plan and replan the need for training for our cabin and flight deck crew in Crew Management System
•    Document and develop our ways of working internally in Resource Management as well as together with our internal Training Departments
•    Follow up on our Key Performance Indicators
•    Ensure that all training demand is communicated to internal and external stakeholders.

We are primarily looking for you who have previous experience from a similar field (e.g. crew planning, training planning, crew training, people logistics etc., either from the airline industry or another relevant industry) or have an academic background, preferably in logistics.

You are an experienced Microsoft Office user with a good background in Excel. You are fluent in written and spoken English and it is highly meriting if you understand the Scandinavian languages.
You are structured, responsible, and keep track also of details while at the same time keep the wider perspective. You are not afraid to ask for help when needed and at the same time you’re happy to support your colleagues when they need support.

•    Previous relevant experience (e.g. crew planning, training planning, crew training, people logistics etc., either from the airline industry or another relevant industry) 
•    Knowledge of Jeppesen CMS-suite and good understanding of flight safety and FTL/OM-A is highly meriting
•    Good analytical skills
•    Dynamic, outgoing and high degree of drive
•    Good communication skills both written and oral
•    Fully proficient in Office 365 with focus on Excel
