Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop and demonstrate a comprehensive data architecture strategy that aligns with the EDM strategy. This includes defining data principles, standards, and guidelines for data management, integration, security, and governance.
- Develop data model blueprints, that underlays the end-to-end business processes as defined by the business & data domain owners.
- Develop single source data strategy along with ecosystem wide guidelines and standards for cataloging and maintaining data repositories.
- Steer enterprise data architecture committee and establish data architecture framework, and coach the solution development teams to provision and consume best in class data.
- Instill Enterprise Data Management thinking across IT teams and apply architecture principals beyond specific application scope.
- Ensure that data architecture incorporates security measures and complies with data regulations including but not limited to US DoD classification, privacy, sovereignty etc.,
- Partner with EDM Data Governance, Data Quality and Enterprise Architecture leadership to strategize their architecture that meets Transactional, Operational and Analytical needs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in data architecture and recommend their incorporation into EDM data strategy.
Required Characteristics
- Implemented architectures influenced by industry standard frameworks
- Collaborated with IT teams to devise forward looking data strategy that enables access controls, privacy, security, etc.
- Understands Data lifecycle and established semantic consistency across multiple systems.
- Modern data architecture thinking and ability to translate into operational feasibility.
- Built data model blueprint of business processes and supporting systems.
- Setup framework to detect data architecture pitfalls, and coach the IT solutioning teams through stage gate reviews.
- Due to the nature of the work being performed this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.

Education Qualification
- Bachelors degree from accredited university or college with a minimum of 5 years professional experience OR associate degree with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School diploma with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Data Architecture and Management experience.
Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
