Job Summary
DRS Network & Imaging Systems in Dallas, TX is seeking an Intern or Co-Op to support staff in the performance of professional administrative staff duties in support of property administration. The candidate must be a well-organized, a self-starter, able to work in a team environment, have exceptional communication and technical skills, and able to professionally interact with other departments.
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Property Administration team in the conduct of various assignments
- Verify physical condition or equipment/update system records as needed
- Create various documents and electronic information with direction
- Assist in researching information as needed for projects and other objectives
- Provide regular reporting of progress and status, and complete assigned tasks on time
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper management of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the property administration staff methods, programs and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
- Excellent inventorying skills of tagged property
- Proficiency navigating software platforms/Excel files/etc a plus
- Proficient interpersonal skills
- Candidate should be a self-starter, with the ability to work at producing results
- Ability to manage multiple short-term projects simultaneously, in meeting weekly quotas/metrics.
- Previous internship/co-op experience and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
- Excellent attention to detail
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program and is either a Junior or Senior with a 3.0 GPA
- Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Effectively utilize standard office software and computer equipment
- Be available to work part-time, average of 20 hours during the Spring semester
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
