Are you an experienced Java developer with Microservices expertise? Passionate about Agile environments? Interested in a stable, technical role contributing to developing Management Systems for satellite solutions? Then we have the role for you!
This role is a programming-focused, hands-on technical role, involving core development, validation, automation testing, and some firefighting. You will contribute across the full software development life cycle, from design (UML/SysML) through development and test.
Career progress includes Technical Lead, Expert, Architect, Senior Software Developer or Software Design Authority.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Development of code within an agile environment (scrum) in line with the System Design. Development of Unit Tests to support developed code
Alignment to project coding standards and guidelines, enforced using tools such as SonarQube.
Ability to work with the Atlassian suite of products.
Ability to work closely and interact with both System and Test Engineers.
Support Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
Attend daily stand-up meetings, Sprint retrospectives and Iteration reviews. Attend Product Team Reviews, as needed, to understand the System Model and validate maturity
ABOUT YOU – Your Skills
Solid background in programming and validating Java software within a MicroServices environment. We currently use Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.35
Knowledge of Spring Boot and the Spring Framework with experience of developing in Spring with Hibernate
Solid knowledge of Web Services using RESTful APIs
Experience with CI/CD delivery techniques
Knowledge and use of software design patterns
Good communication skills to champion tech approaches and help lead tech transformations
