Position Summary
Performs duties required to receive, inspect, store and distribute various items, equipment, supplies and returned goods, to transfer materials and finished goods between storage and production, to pull stock for customer orders, to package and check items as needed, to assist in routing shipments, and to load customer orders on trucks for shipment. Must be able to operate hand and power lift equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming material and verify against documentation for identification and accuracy of quantity
- Weigh or count incoming/outbound parts or materials.
- Load and unload trucks and move raw material to the proper location.
- Coordinate the storage, handling, receiving and inventory procedures.
- Prepare parts and/ or materials to assure safe handling for shipment including the completion of the necessary paperwork and shipping records.
- Prepare packaging per specifications for shipment including computer input for necessary labels, forms and shipping records.
- Coordinate the shipping schedule to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Plan for future shipments and order materials needed to make shipping container.
- Prepare forms and reports for meetings or as requested by management.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Two or more year’s industry related experience in shipping and receiving.
- Able to interpret reports and use standard business software applications.
- May be required to operate moving equipment.
- Computer skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting related forms and specifications.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- May be required to lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California and Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as spanet and business considerations. We aim to offer a base pay that aligns with the midpoint of our hourly rate. Hourly range $18.00 to $22.00
