The Boeing company is looking for a Senior Information Technology Infrastructure Architect to join the team in El Segundo, CA.
The Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for providing consultation and leadership in identifying, evaluating, and documenting complex computing system requirements. This role requires deep expertise in the architecture, design, development, and testing of delivery systems and components. The architect will lead efforts to asses product usability, cost-effectiveness, security, and performance to ensure alignment with delivery system requirements. In addition to offering technical guidance, the architect will support the implementation and optimization of complex delivery environments. Collaboration with facilities teams will be essential to ensure that all electrical and power needs are met to support IT infrastructure. The architect will also develop infrastructure diagrams and templates to promote standardization across multiple sites, while mentoring and coaching team members to foster technical growth and consistency.
Position Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy IT systems on a distributed network spanning multiple locations
Deploy state-of-the art solutions with automation to ensure scalability and reliability
Provide technical leadership during the design and implementation of new and upgraded systems
Provide mentoring and training to the multi-disciplined IT team
Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and document business requirements
Develop roadmaps in support of business requirements and IT technology best practices
Develop solutions that are compliant with Government and Boeing Information Security requirements
Identify opportunities and solutions for improving system performance and health
Use roadmaps to work with business management to develop IT budgetary plans
Solve complex problems in partnership with a large and diverse IT team
Troubleshoot and fix critical issues
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
Current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher)
Ability to travel 10
10+ years of experience with hand on technical implementation experience of IT infrastructure projects
Experience working with Linux and Unix environments
Experience with OS-level Network configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with enterprise server and storage platforms, including HPE ProLiant, HPE Synergy, Dell PowerEdge, and Dell Unity systems
Experience with Data Center consolidation, Data Center Migration, Server Virtualization
Experience with Network Modeling, logging and monitoring
Experience with Network security including designing, creating, and maintaining the security systems within an organizations IT network, including the computer systems and data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience managing closed networks
Experience with multi-site and region network design and performance
Experience with data protection, data replication, and server virtualization
Experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware
Experience with different IT disciplines (e.g., infrastructure, information, application, security, system management, system integration)
Experience with developing PowerShell and Linux scripts to enable consistent, high-quality integration of hardware assets
Experience with scripts to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
Experience with Agile Methodologies
Experience with a broad range of basic systems and application support
Experience evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution
Experience with system backups and network switch configuration
Experience with building and maintaining information systems that comply with Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide / Risk Management Framework (JSIG / RMF) security requirements
