JOB OVERVIEW
The Recruiter / Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Manager and assists the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Business Partners with recruitment and selection, new employee set up and onboarding, performance management tracking and other HR support duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct pre-screen calls, in person interviews, assessments and reference checking for assigned roles
- Research and prepare job descriptions, interview questions and assessment criteria for all positions
- Compose internal and external job postings, referring to job descriptions and ensuring accuracy of information
- Post and maintain job vacancies on various recruitment platforms
- Track all applicants through the HR Information System (ADP)
- Assist in preparation for career fairs and ordering recruitment materials
- Assist with the preparation of offer letters, transfer and promotion letters
- Ensure the accurate set up of new employees and employee related information in the HR Information System
- Assist with administration of KF’s uniform program, tool reimbursement program and updates on Jostle - our internal communication platform
- Coordinate employee and contractor arrival/departure/transfer emails
- Work with new employees through the onboarding process and organizing, administering and ensuring paperwork is completed properly
- Assist to coordinate new employee orientation together with the training department
- Update forms and policies as required
- Support reception and provide secondary relief for break coverage
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 diploma plus completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources required
- Minimum one year of relevant, proven HR experience required in a role within a Human Resources department that includes full-cycle recruitment of corporate roles
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SharePoint experience would be an asset
- Experience with ADP would be an asset
- Interest in and working towards CPHR designation considered a strong asset

SALARY
The wage band is level 6, $55,500 - $69,400. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
