Each day will be different; you will support assembly processes and test activities, be responsible for investigating the validity and quality of products and processes, and find solutions for non-conformities of parts arising from production or supply chain. This involves daily interaction with various teams, including engineering, production, and after-spanet.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday day shift position based in Mississauga and performed exclusively on-site (office and production).

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the “Product Integrity” function for all quality control-related activities involving assembly and testing activities.

  • Perform investigations to find the root causes of quality issues and help develop solutions to eliminate such incidents.

  • Support OEM investigations and activities.

  • Lead the investigation of product escapes in coordination with various support groups to provide containment and minimize the impact on the customers.

  • Provide support to the production line for quality issues and help address actions to reduce COPQ (cost of poor quality) through work on special projects / investigations.

  •  Chair Quality Clinics in support of Operations.

  • Participate as a quality representative on various audits, assembly and test activities, and test activities, and Plant/Engine Centre initiatives.

What do you need to be successful?

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical) or Quality Assurance with at least 5 years of experience. Other relevant experience related to the position will be considered

  • Knowledge of the aerospace field.

  • Fluency in English (oral and written).

Assets

  • Expertise and technical knowledge of manufacturing aeronautical parts, experience in reading planes and geometric tolerances, and experience in quality control and use of measuring instruments.

  • Fluent with Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge of systems like SAP & Enovia PLM is an asset.

  • Six Sigma, continuous improvement techniques, problem-solving processes (RCCA, DAISE, 8D).

  • Good knowledge of engine models PW300, PW800, PW1500, and PW1900.

  • Good interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated aptitude for teamwork, and the ability to conduct multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong teamwork skills, autonomy, sense of initiative, good communication, and results focus.

The salary range for this role is 78,000 CAD - 122,850 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
