We are looking for an exceptional Project Officer to provide project management support, with a focus on delivering operating efficiencies across the Above Water Systems (AWS) Product Line.
As the AWS Project Officer you will report directly to the product line leadership team working with that team to identify and implement operational initiatives that improve project delivery efficiency and support growth within the product line. The Role
Raytheon is seeking a skilled Project Officer to support the AWS Leadership Team. You will join an experienced team:
- On the development, deployment and support of a Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare System of Systems to the ADF
- Supporting delivery of Asset Management and Engineering Support services on multiple ship classes including, Hobart Class Destroyers and Arafura Class Offshore Patrol Vessels
- Support day-to-day management, coordination, and delivery of projects
- Ensure product line safety initiatives are developed and delivered
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Assess, identify, and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities in accordance with company policies
- Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of six years experience in operational and/or in-service support phases of major programs, preferably in Defence technology and/or construction related industries.
- Ability to manage small projects or processes within area of responsibility, as required.
- Demonstrated competence in Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), Prince2 or equivalent project management methodology.
- Skilled in the use of project management software (Organisational Process Performance, Microsoft Project, etc) and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Demonstrated skills in estimating work effort, duration, and value.
- Experienced in communicating with parties within and outside of own work area, as well as parties external to the organisation (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.)
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to NV -1 - eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
