Project Manager

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Project Manager for a remote opportunity.

Location: Remote from areas within the Eastern time zone.
Travel: May be expected to travel to Cayce, South Carolina, on a quarterly basis for project needs and milestones
Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extension; W2 position

Position description:

This Project Manager supports infrastructure and security modernization initiatives across enterprise IT environments.
The Project Manager will coordinate efforts across infrastructure, security, operations, and application teams to deliver projects aligned with cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory requirements, and agency governance standards.

Daily duties and responsibilities:

Collaborate with IT leadership to confirm strategic priorities and manage infrastructure/security project portfolios.
Manage all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout).
Develop project charters, scope statements, milestones, and success criteria.
Define and track business and technical requirements.
Coordinate cross-functional project execution.
Monitor progress and provide executive-level reporting and dashboards.
Maintain schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and documentation.
Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies.
Ensure adherence to IT governance and change management processes.
Support audit readiness and documentation collection.
Assist with policy and standards development related to infrastructure hardening and cybersecurity.
Ensure alignment with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, FISMA, CIS standards, and state security requirements.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

3+ years of experience as a Project Manager in IT initiatives.
3+ years of enterprise network infrastructure experience (LAN/WAN fundamentals).
3+ years of experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework or comparable frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA, CIS Controls).
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
3+ years of experience with Active Directory.
3+ years of experience with endpoint management platforms.
2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, SharePoint, MS Project, and/or Excel.

Preferred:

Public sector infrastructure/security project management experience.
Experience with CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS compliance requirements.
Active PMP certification.

Education:

Bachelor&39;s degree in a related field or equivalent year-for-year experience.
