PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a manufacturing industry leader to hire experienced Production Operators. This role is essential to producing high-reliability electronic assemblies that meet strict aerospace standards. Role Summary and Impact
As a Production Operator, you will support the assembly, testing, inspection, and repair of complex electronic products used in aerospace applications. Working under general supervision, you will follow established procedures while applying judgment and initiative to solve problems, support production flow, and uphold the highest quality standards. Your work directly influences product performance, safety, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform manual assembly of electronic components and micro-electronic assemblies
Execute Class 3 hand soldering in compliance with aerospace quality standards
Perform wire bonding and precision soldering, requiring steady, accurate, and efficient hand skills
Operate automated assembly and test equipment
Inspect and repair products to ensure compliance with quality and workmanship requirements
Perform machine and production line setups, including feeder repairs
Conduct first-line preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
Identify and resolve assembly process or component-related issues
Follow diverse procedures and technical methods of varying complexity
Provide functional guidance or demonstrate work methods to other operators as needed
Accurately document work using manufacturing and documentation control systems
Required Qualifications
High school diploma with additional post-secondary coursework, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Five years of relevant manufacturing or electronics production experience
Class 3 soldering experience is required
Active or prior IPC/J-STD, IPC-A-610, or AF7209 certifications specific to Class 3 soldering
Proven wire bonding and micro-assembly experience, requiring precise, steady hand skills
Strong understanding of board assembly processes and product process flow
In-depth knowledge of soldering specifications, SMT processing systems, and product quality standards
Ability to set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment
Ability to recognize and correct assembly or component issues
Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
Required site-specific certifications as defined by operations
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in soldering, wire bonding, or micro-assembly (candidates encouraged to bring certifications to the interview)
Resume experience showing micro-assembly work, a strong indicator of wire bonding capability
Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing
Experience with advanced manufacturing systems
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, and documentation control systems
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, machinery, and temperature variations
Repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity, precise hand/eye coordination, and sustained visual concentration
Combination of sitting and standing in confined workspaces
Occasional heavy lifting and material handling
All duties performed in accordance with established health and safety guidelines

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
