Position Summary
Perform a variety of machining re-work operations that include rework and facing operations after bending parts.
Responsibilities
- Be able to set-up machines and other related secondary equipment to perform all required machining functions
- Set-up and operator will be responsible for the quality of their pieces
- Set-up, adjust, and operate turret lathe machines on a wide variety of parts
- Operate nut checking equipment, following work instructions provided in the cell
- Set-up, adjust, and operate all secondary machining equipment
- Be able to read and work from blueprints, operation sheets, or specifications in selecting cutting tools and machine controls
- Operate and clean Parts Washer
- Perform a variety of machining re-work operations that include rework and facing operations after bending
- Check the parts being produced, maintain tool and machine adjustments, and sharpen and reset tools as required
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Previous machine operating expereince preferred
- Good math, reading and writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Be able to use measuring instruments, such as a scale, calipers, micrometers, bevel protractor, etc.
- Be able to read blueprints and drawings
