Job Description
As an Aircraft Structure Parts Lay-Up Specialist, you will construct aircraft structural components by laying up resin-infused carbon fiber in a prescribed sequence before processing in an autoclave. Your work will be guided by engineering drawings and company specifications, ensuring the integrity and quality of the final product.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to company specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
- Document materials used to maintain traceability, including out times of cold-stored materials.
- Build structural components via vacuum bagging using resin systems with carbon fiber reinforcements.
- Identify and communicate defects in tooling effectively.
- Meet takt times while maintaining the specified level of quality.
- Handle various regulated materials used in the process safely.
- Carefully handle raw materials and manufactured parts to ensure integrity and quality are not compromised.
- Protect and maintain the confidentiality of products.
- Adapt and handle other essential tasks as assigned, responding productively to changing business conditions.
Essential Skills
- Ability to read and follow engineering blueprints.
- Proficiency in Windows Operating System®, MRP M3, Royal 5, and SmarTeam.
- Understanding of English sufficient for successful job performance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of Introductory Period for internal applicants.
- Experience with machine operation, general labor, assembly, inspection, and use of hand tools.

Work Environment
The role may be part-time, full-time, or temporary, with minor traveling required. Employees may be expected to work protracted or irregular hours. No PPE, certifications, or medical monitoring are required for this position. Relocation may be necessary.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
