Position Summary
Position Summary and Responsibilities
This position makes prototypes and performs testing on new products to ensure products meet required specifications and performance requirements. Position also performs testing of returned products from field tests and competitive product samples to determine how BHA products perform in the field and against competitors. Analyze and summarize data from testing and communicates results as needed to engineering, operations, and sales.
Operate and maintain test rigs in Industrial Filtration Test Lab.
Maintain and improve test equipment in test lab.
Analyze and summarize testing data to support NPI programs.
Perform filter and media testing of returned customer filters.
Perform testing to applicable standards on timely basis to support development projects.
Operate equipment per applicable safety requirements.
Perform and document tests on returned filters required to develop test report needed by design engineers and customers.
Post test results to network drives and communicate to engineering team members as needed.
Provide tours of test lab to visitors and ensure all users of test lab maintain housekeeping.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Test procedure skills (filter DP testing, flat sheet VDI testing, pleated VDI testing, fabric perm testing, mullen burst testing, tensile testing, microscopic photographs and LabView training.
Skill at performing precision measurements
Knowledge of ETQ (calibration, CAPA, document control modules)
Knowledge of business PC software for posting and communicating test information.
