IT Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

DPP is seeking an IT Senior Project Manager for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and as needed
W2 position; 11+ months

Position summary:

The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
Responsible for moderate number of work efforts simultaneously that vary from a smaller to a moderate scale, with smaller number of hours to moderate number of hours, and with moderate system impacts and moderate scope and complexity.
Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations.
Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis.
Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues.
Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort.
Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.

Required technologies:

Proficiency in Microsoft Projects or similar software and schedule management.
Experience in and desire to work in a fast-paced and agile technical environment with the ability to manage shifting priorities, abbreviated timelines and vendor- driven requirements.
Able to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to present complex technical and business concepts to all stakeholders, including IT and business area representatives.
Strong technical, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Budgeting experience.
Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
One or more active professional certifications: PMP certification, CAPM certification, Scrum Master certification and/or SAFe Scaled Agile Certification.

Minimum required work experience:

5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years of experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
Completion of the Client Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.

Required education/equivalency:

Bachelor&39;s degree;
OR, Associate degree (any major) and 2 years of job related experience;
OR, 4 years of job-related work experience
