The IT Employee Experience Coordinator’s role is to work with the Manager, General Manager, Director, Site Leaders and the IT Transformation and Change Management team to assist in driving and program managing IT-wide cross functional employee engagement and workspace efforts while assisting with cutting-edge thought leadership, and company-wide facilitation of other IT Transformation efforts.
The Employee Experience Coordinator will ideate, socialize, and initiate complex cross-functional programs and projects covering a range of transformative efforts throughout the IT department for both short- and long-term initiatives. This individual will work with other departments as needed to investigate and tackle issues that require resource buy-in and cooperation across the entire Delta organization as well as with our external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a key resource for the IT Transformation and Change Management team by contributing to strategy development, thought leadership, socialization, and the creation of materials that support employee engagement, workspace, and other key initiatives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Minneapolis Technology Hub, including workspace logistics, vendor coordination, and facilities support to ensure a productive and welcoming environment.
  • Lead employee engagement efforts by planning and executing large-scale events, team-building activities, and portfolio-specific programs that foster a connected and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Minneapolis Technology Hub, managing internal communications, announcements, and engagement campaigns to keep employees and contractors informed and connected.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase in-office presence and enhance hybrid work experiences through thoughtful workspace design and engagement programming.
  • Support continuous improvement by developing and refining processes, procedures, and initiatives that enhance IT operations and employee experience.
  • Participate in strategic reviews of business operations, policies, and long-term planning to align workspace and engagement initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, portfolio teams, and strategic partners to drive mutually beneficial change and collaboration.
  • Conduct research and assessments to inform strategy, support decision-making, and create roadmaps for key initiatives.
  • Promote interdepartmental collaboration by increasing interaction, resource sharing, and alignment across teams and partners.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, including Managers, General Managers, Directors, VPs, SLT leads, and the CIO, to present findings, updates, and recommendations.
  • Apply critical thinking to adapt existing methods and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities for stakeholders, IT portfolio teams, business partners, and users to ensure alignment and accountability within initiatives.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • At least 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency.
  • Previous hands-on tactical and strategic support for people, process and technology improvement projects including current state assessment, future state design, gap analysis.
  • PMO expertise.

  • Mastery of the MS Office suite (including PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project, and Word).

  • Excellent written and oral communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications or related field is preferred.
  • Rudimentary technical IT knowledge.
  • Background in office management, event planning, communications, and administrative assistance.
