You will be a key member of our Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) team, leading efforts in system architecture and modeling within the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Center of Excellence. Our team develops and maintains MBSE architecture models that support current and future HWIL capabilities.

What You Will Be Doing
As an experienced engineer on our MBSE team, you will work closely with HWIL engineers and system product owners to ensure our MBSE models stay current, accurate, and aligned with evolving program needs. You will develop and manage requirements and models for Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) capabilities, creating architectural views using MBSE tools like Cameo and SysML.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Developing and managing requirements and models for current and next-gen RF and IR capabilities
• Creating architectural views using MBSE tools like Cameo and SysML
• Coordinating with the MBSE team to build HWIL MBSE Starter Kits and training content
• Collaborating with HWIL System Product Owners to ensure MBSE models meet requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM)
• Ability to design using SysML-based tools.
• Experience with system functionality definition, including state diagrams and operational modes
• Skilled in requirements generation, decomposition, and converting system needs into executable architectures
• Ability to synthesize and implement system architectures across multiple HWIL systems
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with requirements tracking tools like DOORs, Cameo, or similar
• Knowledge of systems engineering process and lifecycle
• Experience working with cross-discipline teams to derive and decompose complex requirements
• Exposure to digital engineering environments (i.e., MBSE and digital twin)
• Background in system-of-systems architecture and model-based design
• Experience with operational modeling tools and formal verification process

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
