As a Glass Polish Machine Operator here at Honeywell, you will ensure efficient, safe machining processes, lead a skilled team, and collaborate to meet production goals and customer requirements, driving continuous improvement.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Must be willing and able to work in a "work cell" environment and dedicated to high quality of work.
- Glass Machine/ Polish Shop working environment
- Typical dexterity to set up and operate miscellaneous equipment.
- Will work with compounds and slurry mixtures
- Must wear safety glasses with side shields.
- Practice general housekeeping activities daily in cell
- Occasional weight- lifting required up to 35 lbs

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate glass polishing machines according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on polishing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Demonstrated productivity skills and abilities on current job plus 1 year experience at level "C", 200 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period, or 1 year experience at level "D", with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period, or 1 year experience at level "D", with 270 hours of vocational machine shop training and 6 months evaluation period
- OR 3 years of outside machine shop experience (two axis)
- OR 1038 hours of vocational machine shop training with 6 months evaluation period and 60 day review
- An ability to support 3rd shift hours and work over-time as needed per Union requirements
The base pay is $32.55/hour, plus any applicable over-time or shift differential pay
