Tasks
The General Cleaning Operatives main tasks are:
- The employee will be responsible for all basic cleaning on site, (shop floor only)
- Sweeping/washing of floors corridors/bays etc.
- Emptying of all rubbish bins/swarf bins
- Painting, maintaining factory floors walls
- Assist the maintenance department in project works as and when required
- Work on his or her own initiative and ensure the individual keeps the area of responsibility to the standards required and set out by the company
- Ensuring all equipment is kept clean and in good working order
Requirements
The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Educated to at least GCSE level
- Good level of English both verbal and written
- Ideally have a good understanding of all aspects of general maintenance cleaning
- A clear understanding of Health & Safety obligations as well as environmental impact
- Basic computer skills
- Team player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work and determine priorities using own initiative
- Flexible in work approach, and someone who takes pride in their work
- Good problem solver
- Ability to operate / use power and non-power hand tools in a safe and compliant manner
- Ability to work unsupervised
- The candidate will be required to work a double day shift Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 and 13:55-21:55 rotating
- Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted
- Mandatory Training will be required
- The job role will require some lifting
- Good physical fitness for performing demanding tasks
