Join our highly skilled team as a Furnishing Technician and contribute to the safe and efficient daily maintenance on our fleet of aircraft- Boeing 787, 737 NG, 737 MAX and De Havilland Dash 8-400 (Q400). As a Furnishing Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team using your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills while making safety a top priority. As part of our team, you’ll embody teamwork and integrity while upholding WestJets core values.
Key deliverables include:

Liaise with Operations Managers, Operational Leads, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) for scheduled and irregular maintenance, and clearing of deferred maintenance
Are you ready for your next adventure? Ensure you meet the following requirements:

Working knowledge of the illustrated parts catalogue, aircraft applicability and service bulletins

The physical ability to lift 62lbs and be able to sit, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
Successful candidates will be required to meet the following conditions of employment:
- Must be able to obtain Radio Licence within 6 months of employment

Obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) issued by Transport Canada
-
Obtain and maintain Airside Vehicle Operators Permits (AVOP). Must have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract
-
Pre-employment assessment to measure physical ability and fit for position including audiometric testing
-
Clear background and criminal record check
-
Offers of employment are conditional on passing a pre-employment alcohol and drug screening test including Alcohol, Psychoactive Substances, Illicit Drugs and Cannabis
This position falls under Group 1 of the collective agreement between AMFA and WestJet.
