Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring all final inspected hose meets customer requirements, conforms to specifications established by Parker and industry standards. Packages hose into reel or box depending on customer requirement.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Check for the correct inside diameter (I.D.) by using the proper ball pin gauge.2. Verify the outside diameter (O.D.) meets specifications by using venire tape or a dial caliper.3. Identify and eliminate any known defects.4. Prepare and complete necessary paperwork.5. Package hose per customer requirement.DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.2. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.3. Maintain production schedules.4. Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S. 5. Other duties may be assigned at a later time.
Qualifications
Experience: Production work preferred but not requiredPreferred Skills/Qualifications: 1. Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills2. Basic knowledge and use of hand tools3. Sound decision making skills4. Good math, reading, writing skills5. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude6. Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product7. Strong trouble shooting skillsSkills/Competencies: 1. Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package2. Ability to lift up to 50 poundsOther Skills: Ability to work well in a team environmentAssessment: Employee must pass Pre-employment screening
