PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Fabrication Associate to support pipe fabrication operations in a fast‑paced, industrial environment. This role requires hands‑on mechanical aptitude, strong tape‑measure accuracy, and recent experience working with machinery such as band saws, automatic welding machines, and related fabrication tools.
Pay Rate: $21.51/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm (30‑minute unpaid lunch)

Key ResponsibilitiesMove loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard safely and efficiently.
Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain an organized supply area.
Follow all safety procedures when fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company procedures.
Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery used in pipe fabrication processes.
Measure, record, and add random pipe lengths with precision.
Cut pipe using band saws or torches; thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
Perform quality checks using gauges and ensure all finished products meet specifications.
Inspect and maintain forklifts and related equipment.
Must‑Have Qualifications6–8 months of recent experience operating machinery such as band saws, pipe threaders, roll groove machines, plasma cutters, automatic welding machines, or pneumatic banders.
6–8 months of experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
Mechanical background (6–8 months minimum).
Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
Experience using gauges for basic quality checks.
Strong math skills for calculating lengths, quantities, and measurements.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Good computer skills for operating automated fabrication equipment.
Knowledge of safe work practices in an industrial or pipe‑yard environment.
Ability to sort and shift pipe ranging from ½” to 10”.

Pay Details: $21.51 per hour
