About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified English Language Teacher to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for raising the general and operational English proficiency of adult, non-native speakers within the defense and aviation sectors.

Specialized or Adaptable: The ideal candidate has a strong background in teaching adult learners, with a highly preferred specialization in Aviation English (ICAO standards). However, if you are a passionate, high-caliber General English teacher with a strong willingness to adapt, learn, and develop aviation-specific curriculum, we absolutely want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Deliver high-quality English language training tailored specifically to adult, non-native speakers.
• Curriculum Design: Design and implement lesson plans that improve both general language skills and industry-specific operational communication.
• Standards: (Preferred) Integrate International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) language proficiency requirements into the curriculum.
• Content Development: Create engaging training materials and coursework tailored to the unique needs of aviation personnel.
• Evaluation: Assess student progress and adapt teaching methodologies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: Proven track record of teaching English to adult learners (experience with non-native speakers is essential).
• Specialization (Highly Desired): Background in Aviation English, technical communications, or familiarity with ICAO standards.
• Alternative Profile: A strong background in General ESL/EFL teaching coupled with a proactive attitude and a willingness to pivot into technical/aviation curriculum development.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to tailor instruction to varying proficiency levels.
• Credentials: TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or a Degree in Education/Linguistics (or equivalent experience) is highly preferred.
