Job Summary:
The primary purpose of the Deskside Technician is to support company personnel and manage the full life cycle of IT assets at the respective locations.
In this role, you will:
- Provide IT support to all employees at Arconic in Davenport, IA and satellite facilities. Provide White Glove IT services to all company executives
- Diagnose and resolve incidents pertaining to hardware, network, mobile devices and a range of alternate applications/software including public sourced, and company developed.
- Operate within Arconic Information Services policies, standards and conventions.
- Stage, configure, and deliver IT assets (e.g. personal computers, mobile phones and iPads.)
- Physically and digitally manage IT asset inventory.
- Work across a global IT support team to share information and best practices.
- Clear professional communication skills including active listening, verbal and written communication, and adapting your communication style to different situations and audiences. Role requires partnership with all levels of the organization including the executive level.
Also note:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the practical application of systems and technology. This includes knowledge of systems architecture, hardware, operations and life cycle.
- Knowledge of use, configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows 11 64bit & Microsoft Office 365, 32bit and 64bit products.
- Experience with Remote Desktop, Remote Assistance, Quick Assist and MS Teams.
- Ability to walk, bend and perform labor-related duties. To include the ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
- Must be amenable with doing overtime or off-hour work when needed
- Travel potential – Support includes two Quad City area satellite locations, as well as two satellite production facilities located in Kansas and Michigan.
You have: (required)
- Experience as an IT professional in a business environment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent from an accredited organization
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
