The Flight Training Procedures Instructor conducts training modules in New Hire Pilot Indoctrination, Return to Work (RTW) Pilot Reorientation and Instructor/Evaluator Principles of Instruction (POI) courses in accordance with applicable company policy and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Training assignments include classroom facilitation, instructor-led technical training, knowledge testing and hands-on drills. Pilot Indoctrination and RTW instructional subjects include, but are not limited to Security, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Operating Manuals, Crew Member Duties & Responsibilities, Aircraft Performance, Weight & Balance, Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Usage, Flight Planning & Dispatch Procedures.
POI subjects include but are not limited to Fundamental Principles of the Teaching-Learning Process; Instructional Methods, Procedures and Techniques; Evaluating Student Performance; and communication skills.
Responsibilities include conducting student progress assessments and preparation for end-of-course examinations. Assists with class scheduling, logistics and communications. Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for e-learning and ILT program development projects. Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
