Job Description

Seeking a skilled Coater and Masker to support advanced aerospace programs, including the F-35. This role involves preparing aircraft surfaces, applying low observable (LO) coatings, and ensuring precision masking and finishing to meet stringent aerospace specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking complex configurations.
• Apply primers, topcoats, sealants, and LO coatings using spray guns and other equipment.
• Mix materials to precise ratios and verify thickness using inspection tools.
• Cut and bond materials to contoured surfaces with high accuracy.
• Perform aerodynamic smoothing and apply fillers to meet flushness and engineering requirements.
• Operate drying ovens and monitor curing processes.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Interpret blueprints, process specifications, and technical documentation.

• Experience with surface preparation, masking, and spray application techniques.
• Proficiency with various types of spray guns and painting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with shop mathematics and precision measuring tools.
• U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR compliance).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Mathematical ability for calculations related to assigned tasks.

Work Environment

Enjoy working in a climate-controlled production facility with a need for second shift hours from Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM EST. Weekly pay, benefits offered, long term.

Job Type & Location

This position is based in Oldsmar, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
