- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.), preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years aviation experience on different types of wide-body aircraft
- Five (5) or more years as a Chief Inspector or Quality Supervisor on projects involving heavy maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
- Must be extremely familiar with all FAA rules and regulations.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to manage priorities to meet deadlines in a demanding environment. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts in achieving organizational objectives.
- Ability to interpret diverse customer requirements and associated compliance.
- Leadership style that ensures organizational ethical standards are maintained and fosters positive relationships.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATH ABILITY:
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Must interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Word processing, Spreadsheets, internet software, e-mail, database software, inventory software, and order processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) license and FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; explosives; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to walk, sit, and talk or hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
