Pay Rate: $26.24 - $32.92 per hour
Location: Sylmar, CA 91342
Schedule: Full-time; Consultant (12 Months), Monday to Friday, 1st Shift (9/80 Schedule), 5 AM - 2:30 PM. Overtime may be required on weekends.

An exciting opportunity is available with the Spectrolab Team for an Assembler in Sylmar, CA. This role involves performing complex production assembly operations for solar cells and solar panels, as well as related equipment and accessories, for space applications.
Key Responsibilities:Perform processes for solar cell fabrication, including photolithography, thinning, cap etch/window clean, evaporation, sintering, and electrical testing.
Conduct semiconductor growth processes, including operating MOCVD vacuum systems and metal-organic material handling.
Utilize hand soldering techniques, wire harness assembly, and component bonding for production tasks.
Operate and maintain tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, and wire identification tools.
Inspect and assemble small parts under microscopes with precise attention to detail.
Document production tasks accurately and adhere to safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and ensure quality standards.
Follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to perform manufacturing tasks.
Maintain compliance with company policies and display a team-oriented attitude.
Lift up to 20 lbs and work while sitting or standing for extended periods.
Wear a smock, hair cover, and gloves as required for cleanroom environments.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):High School Diploma or equivalent (or relevant military/work experience).
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to lift 20 lbs and meet the physical requirements of the role.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience using SAP.
Familiarity with inspection under microscopes.
Previous experience with welding, soldering, and small-part assembly.
