3rd Shift Grinder
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Grinder to join our 3rd shift team. In this position, you will set up and operate grinding machines to finish metal parts to exact specifications. You’ll work with blueprints, precision measuring tools, and ensure all quality and safety standards are met. Experience with SMTW or Butler Newall equipment is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate grinding machines to meet specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine product requirements.
- Use micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools for accuracy.
- Maintain strict quality and safety standards.
- Operate CNC machinery and perform machine setups.
- Conduct deburring and shop fabrication tasks.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficiency with surface grinders.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong precision measurement skills.
- Familiarity with quality control processes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience grinding parts.
Preferred Attributes
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent math and mechanical skills.
- Familiarity with CNC and power tools.
Work Environment
- Non-climate-controlled metal fabrication shop with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature changes.
- Initial training on 1st shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM), then transition to 3rd shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), Monday–Friday.
- Must be able to lift 5–75 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
