PDS Tech is hiring Machine Setup Operators (Cutting) to support manufacturing operations in Foothill Ranch, CA, where your ability to manage tooling changeovers and maintain production flow will directly impact output and efficiency. This is a 2nd shift, temp-to-hire opportunity offering consistent hours, overtime, and the chance to grow in a hands-on production role.
Machine Setup Operator (Cutting) Location: Foothill Ranch, CA
Shift: Monday – Friday + Overtime, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM also have 3rd shift available
Pay Rate: $19.97/hour

Position OverviewThe Machine Setup Operator is responsible for performing machine setups and changeovers based on product requirements, including teardown and installation of tooling. This role supports a high-paced manufacturing environment where efficiency, accuracy, and reliability are critical to production success.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup & OperationComplete machine setups and changeovers based on production requirements
Tear down and install tooling to support different product lines
Ensure equipment is properly configured and ready for operation
Maintain consistent production flow and minimize downtime
Production SupportFollow detailed work instructions and operating procedures
Monitor machine performance and identify issues
Maintain productivity and meet daily production targets
Safety & Work EnvironmentFollow all safety protocols, procedures, and labeling requirements
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Support safe handling and operation of all equipment
Performance ExpectationsComplete setups accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
Maintain consistent output in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate initiative and proactive work habits
Follow all safety and operational standards
Required Qualifications6+ months of experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ability to read, write, and understand English (safety protocols, instructions, labels)
Basic computer skills
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed

Continuous standing for 8–10+ hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally

Pay Details: $19.97 per hour
