Are you mechanically inclined and detail-driven with a passion for aerospace technology? PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Assembly & Test Technician (FAA) to support production at our client’s Rocky Mount, NC facility. This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-paced aerospace environment, ideal for candidates with strong mechanical, technical, and teamwork skills.
About the Role
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will perform dynamic, thermal, and functional testing on sophisticated electromechanical and electro-hydraulic control systems used in aircraft and helicopter engines. You’ll operate specialized test equipment, follow FAA-regulated procedures, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, inspect, calibrate, and test hydro-mechanical fuel controls
Use precision tools and measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.)
Follow electronic work instructions, blueprints, and quality procedures
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and Visual Management standards
Work overtime and weekends as required
What We’re Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Mechanical and technical experience
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate MS Office
Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
Ability to follow detailed instructions and interpret blueprints
Vision testing must be completed within the first week of assignment.
Steel-toed footwear is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in assembly/test manufacturing
Associate degree or formal technical training
North Carolina WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
Six Sigma training or certification
Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in a team-based environment
Familiarity with 5S and continuous improvement practices

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
