Job Title: CNC Programmer

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead programming development for turning and milling, and work closely with various engineering teams to support operations and development projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead turning and milling programming development, instruction, and debugging tasks in collaboration with Repair Development Engineers, Process Engineers, and machining leads.
- Directly support operations with NC programming changes to address issues on an as-needed basis.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) development with new NC programs.
- Collaborate with Repair Development Engineers and machining leads on fixturing development.
- Work with Process Engineers on CAD model development and validation for milling and turning operations.
- Engage with Senior Engineering staff on various engineering initiatives.
Essential Skills
- Five or more years of direct experience in lathe, VTL, 3/4/5 axis milling CNC programming.
- Experience processing nickel, cobalt, and titanium based alloys in Aerospace machining operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Proficient in performing full set-ups, program edits, and holding high precision tolerances.
- Ability to program with CAM (NX preferred) and manually as necessary.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Repair Technical Data such as Engine Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins, OEM approved supplemental data.
- Experience authoring shop process planning paperwork such as Tool Sheets, Setup Sheets, Routers, Operation Sheets, Inspection Forms.

Work Environment
The work environment is a blend of 25 desk cubicle setting and 75 machine shop, focused on large hot section rotating aerospace parts. The dress code is business casual, and there is a kitchen on location.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of East Granby, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
• Participation in the Company’s Supplemental Incentive Compensation Plan (SICP) effective on date of employment, on a pro-rata basis. Targeted incentive under this plan is 12.5 of base salary, with a maximum payout of 25 of base salary. The incentive payout is based on Barnes Aerospace Consolidated’s ability to achieve their annual performance targets. Payouts to participants are subject to the provisions of the plan and are normally paid in late February following the year in which it was earned.
