Precision Aerospace Machining – Prototype & Development WorkPDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Redondo Beach to hire an experienced CNC Machinist with strong 3-axis and 5-axis programming capabilities.
This role supports prototype and development machining of complex aerospace components requiring tight tolerances and high attention to detail. If you enjoy challenging setups, advanced programming, and working closely with engineering teams, this is a high-skill, high-impact opportunity.
CNC Machinist (3-Axis / 5-Axis)Location: Redondo Beach, CA
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM – 2:42 PM
Fridays: 5:00 AM – 1:42 PM (80 hours over two weeks)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (Strong Extension Potential)
Pay: Up to $39.44/HR
What You’ll Be Doing
Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines
Program parts using Mastercam to meet complex geometry and tight tolerance requirements
Machine aerospace components from engineering drawings and CAD models
Work with Haas CNC machines (Mazak experience a plus)
Perform conventional machining operations as needed
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and compliance
Troubleshoot setups, tooling, and machining processes
Collaborate with engineering to refine manufacturing methods and improve efficiency
What We’re Looking ForRequired:
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
Strong Mastercam proficiency (3-axis and 5-axis)
Experience operating Haas machines
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations
Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance
Preferred:
10+ years of CNC machining experience
Experience with Mazak CNC machines
EDM (Plunge/Sinker) experience
Active Secret Clearance

Pay Details: $31.03 per hour
