How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Delta is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Workers’ Compensation Program Manager. This position will act as a coordinator and liaison between Delta and the Sedgwick Program. This position will organize current programs within the Delta-Sedgwick Workers Compensation program that drive Delta’s business and departmental goals at the discretion of the Workers Compensation General Manager & Manager. This position will report to the Manager, Workers’ Compensation under the Global Health & Wellbeing (GHW) organization.How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities):Oversee, manage, and facilitate training of Delta Specialists under the direction of the WC Manager (Includes maintenance of Specialist training workbook and team jurisdictional split).Partner with external Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Leaders (WC operations, Managed Care) to train Examiners on Delta Account to adhere to Client Service Guidelines, follow advocacy approach to claims handling and work to ultimately elevate Delta employee satisfaction and experience. Participate in monthly sessions with TPA operations/team leads to provide feedback on issues identified by the Delta specialist team associated with claims management and issues/successes related to individual examiner performance.Assist Delta specialists with coordination of internal divisional meetings around OJI’s and work closely with business partners in each division (TOP, IFS, ACS) to identify areas where Delta Specialists can provide more impact and coordination with TPA and legal teams; this will include coordination and participation in Delta’s annual Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) conferenceCreate process flow for tracking of all escalations through resolution. Utilize data and tracking of escalations to identify trends in service failures and areas of opportunity within the program. Coordinate with Service Now teams to implement WC in AskHR and track cases and trends.Coordinate and manage all annual claim reviews; maintain schedule for future claim reviews and build on process to successfully utilize time and resources during and after reviews (examiners, defense attorneys, nurse case mangers).Partner with WC Manager and TPA to attract, hire, retain top talent for Delta Account from a DE&I perspective. Oversee recognition program and hold TPA accountable for recognizing good talent.Create and maintain content to educate internal divisions about the function of the WC Specialist team (LMS or other materials as requested).Other projects as assigned by the WC Manager based on team, department, and division goals.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum 5 years of previous workers’ compensation claims management experience. Understand Workers’ Compensation as it relates to FMLA, STD, LTD, and ADA.Ability to use Insurance Carrier/TPA data and claims management systems to analyze claim data. Quality orientation and attention to detail a must, high work ethic and commitment to excellence. Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure and respond quickly to high priority requests. Flexibility and creativity are required to coordinate issue resolution in a constantly changing environment. Proven organizational, planning and time management skills necessary. Strong problem solving and strategic thinking skills required. Should have strong analytic skills and be able to gather, manipulate, and interpret data and develop action plans based on the analyses. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in current position
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in business, Risk Management, Human Resources Management, BSN, Vocational Rehabilitation, or closely related field.At least 10 years of workers’ compensation skills (preferred). Advanced knowledge of workers compensation across multiple jurisdictions (preferred).Experience in aviation is a plus.
