Position Summary

The Warehouse Leader is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations, a 24-hour facility with 40 Team Members, and safely fulfilling both Distribution and OEM order requirements. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role oversees key warehouse functions and provides hands-on direction and coaching to Warehouse Team Members. The Warehouse Leader works closely with internal customers to support on-time performance, customer satisfaction, and the continued growth of Canada’s leading motion and control supplier.
This is a full-time on-site position based in Milton, Ontario, Canada. The working hours for this role are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
The salary for this position ranges from $85,000 - $95,000.
Responsibilities
Drive safety culture
Lead and support daily processes (5S+S program, Team Improvement Boards etc.)
Supervise, coach, train and develop employees (Team Leads and Associates)
Drive Lean Initiatives
Participate in talent acquisition process for Warehouse
Co-ordinate team member equipment training schedules
Support the Sales & Operating Protocols for respective Value Stream
Maintain compliance to company and/or regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations (Parker Policies, Health & Safety Policies, ISO procedures, Parker Values, etc.)
Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements
Post Secondary Education (Business, Supply Chain/Warehouse Logistics preferred) but open to candidates with relevant combined work experience
3-5 years supervisory experience, leading and facilitating large teams
Experience leading LEAN teams is preferred
Valid 1st Aid/CPR/AED (or willing to obtain)
Experience and Skills
Lean and Problem-Solving Skills
Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams)
Working knowledge of Quality process and six sigma
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of cranes/slings an asset
Knowledge of WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, WSIB, and all related governing legislation (Employment Standards, Health and Safety, Ministry of Labour etc.)
