The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Provide management and administrative functions necessary for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of aviation support services to Iraq Embassy Air EA-I Operations at the Embassy Helicopter Port EHP or other locations, as directed. Collaborate and directly interface with USEMB government officials on all facets of aviation operations to include daily and emergent operations and planning. Provide program oversight of aviation safety at the EHP. Act as the single point of contact for the country Site Manager and INL-A Aviation Advisors in support of the aviation program requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports directly to Country Site Manager.
- Provide daily management of all personnel assigned to EHP, to include accountability during hostile fire incidents and or any other emergency conditions or situation.
- Prepares customer briefings and serves as the FOB subject matter expert.
- Provides the SAA-DSAA service through attendance at Embassy management meetings and other special mission planning such as OD, CODEL, AMBO diplomatic support missions.
- Collaborate with and directly interface with SAA-DSAA and USG officials on all facets of aviation operations to include emergent situations requiring immediate collaboration.
- Responsible for daily operations and acts as a primary contributor to the strategic direction of all activities and resources in the assigned FOB or area.
- In coordination with the other Country Site Managers of the organization, will help to develop, manage, and represent all AAR programs ensuring high levels of accountability and program success.
- Will be the primary face to the customer and handle all FOB discussions with the SAA-DSAA.
- Responsible for ensuring all Safety Management System SMS regulations are followed at the FOB.
- Coordinates with AAR WASS Country Managers as required to ensure success of all FOB operations.
- Ensures that mission orders are consistent with and in support of contract obligations.
- Maintains strong relationships with key customers and vendors.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- In the absence of a Safety Officer, conduct safety oversight and complete reports, as necessary to assist the Country Safety Manager.
- Maintain a general knowledge of FAA regulations, orders, and notices as they apply to the entire operation.
