Supply Chain Quality Manager
30.64 - 41.00 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for a supply chain expert to manage the performance and quality of parts in the Aerospace industry. Working for one of the largest commercial Aerospace companies in the world you will be responsible for overseeing operations across Europe for operational detail parts. Detail parts suppliers are producing a wide range of hard metal and soft metallic products machined or formed utilized on aircraft wings. We are ideally looking for a candidate that has held supplier performance management or supplier quality management positions in the Aerospace, Manufacturing or Machining industries.
This role is being offered on a 6-month basis, highly likely to be extended. It is a full-time on-site role to be based in Broughton, with flexible start/finish times. This role will involve frequent expensed travel for business across the UK and France. As such you must be able to travel accordingly but a driving licence is not essential. We can pay a rate of 30.64 per hour PAYE or 41.00 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with suppliers for operational activities
- Assess suppliers during the tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision.
- Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract.
- Manage supplier quality to ensure that suppliers are compliant with certifications required.
- Monitor or support new product introduction, ToW, changes, to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase.
- Identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions.
- Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects.
- Report on supplier operational performance.
Requirements:
- Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.
- 5 Years of Supply Chain & Quality experience which had external stakeholder management responsibilities.
- Experience and expertise of Project management
- Supply Chain knowledge in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication and understanding of engineering terminology.
- Language: English at advanced level minimum, plus European languages (French, German, Spanish) are advantageous.
- Quality Standards/Methods Knowledge of quality standards and regulations (QMS, Nadcap, EMS) is an asset
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
