We are seeking a motivated Software Section Leader to join the Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) within the Ground & Maritime Defense Radar Software Department. As a Section Leader, you will be responsible for the oversight of software personnel to meet program needs. The ideal candidate is a well-disciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background, who can thrive in a dynamic agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting.
What You Will Do
Sustain, assess, and develop the section and its members.
Collect and provide performance feedback to section members as a part of performance impact discussions.
Support goal development with section members, including completing learning courses.
Coordinate career and job assignments.
Support salary and staffing planning activities.
Ensure section members adhere to policy, vision, values, and goals and communicate flow-down of information to the section.
Assist the Department Leader in executing organizational initiatives and managing the department.
Support a major program task within the RDPL domain.
This position requires exclusive onsite presence.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience in functional or program leadership role.
Experience in software development life cycle using C++.
Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum, automated testing and continuous integration.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Proven skills in leadership and management including prior experience in a functional role
Cost / Schedule Management and Reporting experience
Customer focus and collaboration skills

Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
