The Raytheon Manufacturing Operations Surveillance portfolio is seeking an experienced leader to oversee our Forest Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC).  Forest CMC is a fast-paced factory that builds, integrates, and tests state-of-the-art radar and electronic warfare systems across several airborne and ground-based platforms.  The CMC accounts for $800M in annual sales with 800 employees. 

The Director of Operations for Forest CMC is a strategic leadership position responsible for directing all aspects of the sites manufacturing and operational activities. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence through a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. This role demands a thorough understanding of all facets of factory operations and requires a highly collaborative leader capable of thriving in a matrixed organizational structure.

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, management and direction of matrixed functional organizations and staff
  • Partner with Strategic Business Unit Leaders and Program Managers to develop program plans to meet program contract delivery requirements, drive profit margin and develop program bids and proposals to capture new business
  • Develop talent within the organization with regards to program execution, operational efficiency, and successful transition to production practices
  • Deploying Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) strategy throughout the organization to ensure a continuous improvement that aligns with our long-range plans (LRP)
  • Must obtain level 4 Program Management Certification within one year of start date
  • This will be an onsite role in our Forest, MS facility

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience
  • Minimum14 combined years of work experience in Program Supply Chain, Operations, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and utilizing special program system data to mitigate constraints along the critical path.
  • Experience building executive briefings and presentations in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Experience using business and project management tools and procedures such as Proposals, Transition to Manufacturing, Risk Management, and Financial Forecasts.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing policies and procedures and/or experience with RF Subassemblies and RF Subsystems
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other Operational Excellence methodologies
  • Experience developing and articulating a clear storyline for presentations, reports, and strategic plans that resonate with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience owning the problem-solving process from initial analysis to final delivery, ensuring all steps are focused on a pragmatic, achievable outcome.

The salary range for this role is 158,000 USD - 316,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
